În perioada 11-14 iunie 2019 la București va avea loc Conferința Internațională ”Sustenabilitatea hidrică într-o lume în schimbare”, organizată de Comisia Uniunii Internaționale de Geografie pentru Sustenabilitate Hidrică, de Facultatea de Geografie a Universității din București (Departamentul de Meteorologie-Hidrologie) și de Centrul de Cercetare ”Gestiunea Resurselor de Apă și a Riscurilor Hidrice” din cadrul Universității din București. Lucrările propriu-zise ale conferinței se vor desfășura marți, 11 iunie, și miercuri, 12 iunie, în clădirea Facultății de Geografie a Universității din București. Marți seara va avea loc și o cină festivă, iar miercuri după-amiază o aplicație de teren în municipiul București. Joi, 13 iunie, și vineri, 14 iunie 2019, se va organiza o aplicație de teren în partea de est a Carpaților Meridionali și ariile limitrofe acestora.
În vederea participării, trebuie completat formularul de înregistrare și rezumatul lucrării și trimis la adresa igu_water_conference@limnology.ro până la data de 18 aprilie 2019. Până în 21 aprilie 2019 se va primi o notificare privind acceptarea (sau nu) a lucrării propuse. Taxa de participare este 150 EURO (100 EURO pentru doctoranzi) dacă se plătește până în 25 aprilie 2019 și 200 EURO (150 EURO pentru doctoranzi) până la 20 mai 2019. Taxa de participare pentru aplicația de teren opțională din Carpații Meridionali este 150 EURO (până la 25 aprilie) sau 200 EURO (între 25 aprilie și 20 mai 2019). Between the 11th and 14th of June 2019, the International Conference ”Water Sustainability in a Changing World” will take place in Bucharest. The organizers are the Commission for Water Sustainability of the International Geographical Union, the Faculty of Geography (Department of Meteorology and Hydrology) belonging to the University of Bucharest and the Research Centre ”Management of Water Resources and Water-Related Risks” within the same University of Bucharest. The sessions of the conference will take place on Tuesday, 11th of June, and Wednesday, the 12th of June, in the building of the Faculty of Geography belonging to the University of Bucharest. On Tuesday evening there will be a gala dinner, while on Wednesday afternoon participants are invited to a short field trip in Bucharest. On Thursday, 13 June, and Friday, 14 June 2019, a longer field trip will be organized in the eastern part of the Southern Carpathians and their surrounding areas.
In order to participate, one should fill the registration form and abstract and submit them to the address igu_water_conference@limnology.ro before or on the 18th of April 2019. A notification regarding the acceptance (or not) of the proposed paper should be received by 21 April 2019. The registration fee is 150 EURO (100 EURO for PhD students) if paid before or on the 25th of April 2019, or 200 EURO (150 EURO for PhD students) if paid before or on the 20th of May 2019. The fee for the optional 2-day field trip in the Carpathians is 150 EURO, if paid before the 25th of April, or 200 EURO, if paid between the 25th of April and the 20th of May 2019.
