În perioada 17-18 noiembrie 2018, Departamentul de Meteorologie-Hidrologie al Facultăţii de Geografie de la Universitatea din București organizează cu sprijinul Asociației Profesionale a Geografilor din România simpozionul anual tradițional, care de această dată va avea tema ”Geografia la centenarul României” și va fi dedicată aniversării a 150 de ani de la nașterea lui Simion Mehedinți. Lucrările simpozionului vor fi găzduite de Facultatea de Geografie a Universității din București sâmbătă, 17 noiembrie 2018, și se vor încheia cu o cină festivă, seara. Duminică, 18 noiembrie 2018, se va organiza un tur ghidat al orașului București.
Participanții la simpozion trebuie să completeze și să trimită formularul de pe pagina web a simpozionului până în data de 4 noiembrie 2018. Taxa de participare în valoare de 150 lei (50 lei pentru studenți și doctoranzi), plus 50 lei opțional pentru cina festivă, trebuie achitată tot până la data de 4 noiembrie 2018. Turul ghidat al municipiului București costă suplimentar încă 50 lei. Mai multe detalii sunt disponibile pe site-ul evenimentului (în engleză).
On the 17th and 18th of November 2018, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology of the Faculty of Geography within the University of Bucharest organizes, with the support of the Professional Association of Romanian Geographers, the annual traditional conference. This time, the subject of the conference is ”Geography in the Romanian Centenary” and the event will be dedicated to the anniversary of 150 years from the birth of Simion Mehedinți. The sessions of the conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Geography within the University of Bucharest on Saturday, 17 November 2018, ending with the evening dinner. On Sunday, 18 November 2018, there will be a guided tour of the capital city of Bucharest.
Participants to the symposium should fill in and submit the form provided on the symposium website until the 4th of November 2018. The registration fee of 150 lei (50 lei for students and PhD students), to which 50 lei are added for those wishing to attend the evening dinner, should be paid also before or on the 4th of November 2018. The guided city tour of Bucharest would cost an additional 50 lei. More details are available on the website of the event.
